Indian origin Nishita Shah, the managing director of Thailand’s diversified GP Group and Celebrity golfer Tiger Woods have made their way into the list of next generation billionaires compiled by the US business magazine ‘Forbes’.

Nishita Shah 28, and her family had earlier featured in the Forbes ‘Thailand’s 40 Richest People’ rankings with a net worth of USD 375 million.

Noting that the world’s current crop of billionaires have plenty of money but “not much youth”, the American magazine said that the average age of the 1,125 people on Forbes’ list of the world’s wealthiest is 61.

LeRoi Moore, saxophonist and founding member of Dave Matthews Band, died on Tuesday from complications stemming from an ATV accident he suffered in June. He was 46.

Moore crashed his ATV on June 30 on his farm near Charlottesville, VA. He had been discharged from the hospital and returned to his Los Angeles home to begin a physical rehabilitation program, but complications from the accident sent him back to the hospital on July 17.

HT Media Reports Profit Of Rs. 37.72 Crores, Shine Adds 6758 Registered Users/Day - HT Media has reported a profit of Rs. 37.72 crores for the first quarter of FY09, up from Rs. 34.16 crores for the same quarter in FY08; revenues were up 17 percent Year on Year at Rs. 332.89 crores, and advertising revenues were up 19 percent. EBITDA was up 13 percent to Rs. 74.5 crores from Rs. 66 crores for Q1-08.
